Devin Ebanks signs with the Aliens

The Aliens came into the 2024 Big 3 Season with high expectations. After failing to make the playoffs last season, the team regrouped in the offseason and now features the Millsap brothers. Unfortunately, Paul went down with an injury in week 1 as the Aliens fell to the 3-Headed Monsters.

Watching Millsap limp off the floor with a leg injury was devastating for fans to watch. Through the course of the game, he continued to show how talented he was offensively. He did a great job showing his versatility in scoring, ball-handling, and finishing around the basket. Millsap finished the contest with 21 points and five rebounds before he left the game.

There isn’t a set timetable for how long Millsap will be out. However, looking at how gruesome his injury was, there’s a possibility he’s done for the rest of the season. With the Aliens’ captain now sidelined, the team has to figure out what’s next. Paul’s brother, John, was promoted to captain while Dusan Bulut became co-captain. That ultimately led to the Aliens adding Big 3 veteran Devin Ebanks to replace Millsap (first reported by 4th Man Podcast).

Many remember Devin Ebanks during his NBA days with the Los Angeles Lakers. After his NBA career, he later joined the Big 3 and played for Tri-State.

Playing for the Aliens will be another pit stop in the journey for Ebanks. He’s another wing player who has a long wingspan and versatility to defend multiple positions on defense. Ebanks has the potential to make a huge impact on the Aliens. No, he may not be able to fill the shoes of Paul Millsap but can still make his presence known on the floor.

The Aliens look to bounce back in Week 2 as they face the Ball Hogs at 6 PM ET in Tampa, Florida.
