Jordan Page - The Special Prospect that's Just Scratching the Surface

Jordan Page is quickly climbing the national prospect ladder and at just 15 years old, this North Carolina prodigy has already made waves with his impressive season at Broughton High School and his performance in a USABJNT mini-camp. Now, he sets his sights on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, representing the renowned Garner Road AAU program.

Eye Test

Jordan boasts excellent positional size at 6'5", with long arms and sizable hands. He is very young and should grow a few more inches. As his career advances, he'll naturally develop his physique, following the typical trajectory of athletes his age. Jordan's is an explosive athlete with smooth movements. He's very quick off his feet which helps him in different areas. He's a dynamic off the ball cutter who finishes with power and finesse. Jordan is an excellent rebounding guard who gives maximum effort when hitting the glass.

Page operates from the triple threat position, showcasing a solid fundamental base. A few weapons in his arsenal includes, his mid-range game, characterized by his ability to stop on a dime and effortlessly pull up and drain a jump shot. In attack mode, Jordan's ball-handling enables him to get to his spots to get his shots off. He's mentally tough and stays focused on the task at hand, a sign of his maturity.

Shooting

His form, balance, follow-through, and footwork appear solid. I believe the key difference between him becoming a consistently good shooter and an average one lies in the time he puts in at the gym. One area of improvement for him will be his shot preparation, learning to consistently stay low and being ready to shoot is paramount at higher levels of competition, but I have confidence that Jordan will reach that level with dedication and practice.

Additionally, he can hit from deep, showcasing his ability to score from long distances beyond the three-point line, a skill highly valued in modern basketball. Moreover, Jordan demonstrates proficiency in hitting from midrange, displaying precision and touch in scoring from the area inside the three-point line but outside the immediate vicinity of the basket. Overall, his well-rounded shooting abilities make him a versatile threat on offense, capable of consistently putting points on the scoreboard and keeping defenses on their toes.

Shooting off the dribble - He shoots it best on the move and off the live dribble, he really makes tough shots look routine so it's difficult to say if he's a shooter or a shot maker at this point. He has a good blend of ballhandling, athleticism and speed allowing him to create space and elevate with ease over the defense with ease as seen in this clip below.

Catch and shoot - In the clips below, you'll notice Jordan's catch-and-shoot technique, when he acts decisively and follows through, his shot tends to find the mark. This is also an area where he'll need to make the most strides.

Shot Creation - His shot creation is "special", with the flair and creativity to make big-time one-on-one moves. He really gets in his bag in the clip below, you can see the confidence and swagger. He does a beautiful job of breaking down the defender in the clip below, utilizing his handles to cross him up before finishing him off with a step-back jumper.

At the rim - Jordan utilizes his superior athleticism and length to finish in a variety of ways. He's an exceptional slasher and offensive rebounder, capable of scoring efficiently on the break or in the half court at the rim.

Life and Family

Off the court, Page's life extends beyond basketball: he is dedicated to daily improvement. It's about more than just the sport; it is also about his personal growth as a young man, always remembering his roots. Jordan isn't the only Page making waves; his brother, Canaan Page, 6'2", demonstrates his athletic ability on the JV basketball court and the football field at Broughton High School. His exceptional talents earned him Defensive Player of the Year in both sports, underscoring his versatility and impact across various competitive arenas. The Page brothers have excellent role models to emulate at home in their parents, who have set them up for success both on and off the court.

Garner Road

A program known for its great coaching, elite development and talent, Jordan chose the right program to play with. Playing alongside talented teammates will undoubtedly push him and accelerate his development and growth as a player. Moreover, competing on the 3SSB circuit will afford him the national attention he rightfully deserves. My conversation with a Garner Road affiliate essentially confirmed what I already believed about Jordan. They expect him to dominate and gain a ton of national attention, which will open doors for himself and propel him up the rankings.

Conclusion:

Impressively, Jordan's name is already ringing bells around high major coaching circles. He's certainly a name worth keeping a close eye on; his talent and potential are simply undeniable. As he continues to progress through his high school career,
